Oh my gosh, bassets totally do that! My basset, Charlie, will pick and bark at my labrador to try and get what he wants.

My best friend has a 9 year old tricolored Basset Hound named Ferb. He weighs 65 lbs and is registered with the NAPDR. Ferb is a fanctastic dog. He is so loveable. I love Basset Hounds, especially Ferb. He loves raw chicken breast, legs, thighs, and duck breast!
