Very impressive. Keep up the good work!
Oh, how cute!! You’ve done such a wonderful job training them!
I really enjoyed the video; now if only my Yorkie was that cooperative
what kind of treats do you use???
@LisaLily11 Awww, thank you! Dachshunds are not normally the most cooperative breed either, so they need a lot of motivation and encouragement, and of course it always needs to be fun!
@pinkturtlz In this video I’m mostly using their kibble, but for the leave it I used ZiwiPeak Venison and Mussel treats
When we work on our tricks in more distracting environments, I usually break out the really good stuff, like fresh chicken!
HAHA OMG The back foot trick is so cute!!!!!!!!!
<3 I want to teach my dachshund that too XD !
hello i was wondering how did you teach your dog to lift up their back foot on command?
@boltandbella First I had her walk over an object and when her right back foot was on the object I would click and treat. We then worked on her finding the object with her back foot without walking over it first, and would click and treat whenever she lifted her leg to find the object. I changed objects randomly and made them harder for her to place her foot on which caused her to pick up her foot and “look” for the item, at which point she would receive a click and a treat
