Specially formulated for adult Dachshunds over 10 months of age. The special properties of the Dachshund, like its characteristic body shape and very short legs make it a very unusual breed that needs special attention, especially in terms of its food. The Dachshund is well known for sensitive joints, with very short, bowed legs. The cartilage of long bones ossifies prematurely, causing leg growth to end early. Dachshunds have vertebrae which are subjected to heavy mechanical strain on a daily basis. This is owed much to the characteristic body shape and very short legs. However the shorter an animal’s legs, the less ability they have to absorb shock. Because these pets are so long lived, you may gradually notice some signs of aging: loss of energy, a dull coat and even the appearance of white hairs. This special formula includes ingredients to provide your pet with Optimal Dental Hygiene. Combat Aging Effects: This formula helps to slow the effects of aging with a synergistic complex of antioxidants which reduce oxidation stress and green tea polyphenols that have increased antioxidant properties.
